AGM and pamper event held at family centre, harvest rd, Maidenbower.

Horsham drop-in opens at the Family and children centre, Harwood rd, Horsham

April 2010,

AGM was held on the 17 th April, at Langley Green Youth Centre, Langley Green, Lark Rise, Crawley.


Guest speakers were from Asthma UK, and local Eczema group.


February 2010, The new UD drop-in opened on the 24th, the opening was very kindly attended by Henry Smith, Leader of West Sussex County Council, more details to follow shortly, remember the drop-in is open every forth Wednesday of the month, everyone is welcome


December 2009, Grand draw took place on the 13th December following raffle ticket sales in November and December, see details of draw


December 2009, Grant very kindly awarded by Macmillan Cancer Care for training course


Halloween is a traditional event for fund raising helped by an added raffle

Bake a cake is a new event this year, if you enjoy baking then please bake on behalf of UD and sell the cakes in your workplace as part of National Baking Week, Click here for more details


October 2009, Meetings are ongoing with professional people including councillors with the aim of re-developing the Drop-in, and further the work of UD.


July 2009, Awarded matching £800 by Crawley East Council, for Computer and other equipment to further the cause of UD.


June 2009, Awarded £800.00 by Crawley West Council, for computer and other equipment to further the cause of UD


June 2009, Drop-In centre forced into postponement due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.


June 2009, O2 grant awarded to provide materials for our Young Explorers craft activities.


April 2009, New web site has arrived.

This was done to give a new feel to the Understanding Differences web site,


April 21st 2009, Terminal Illness & Bereavement Drop-In opens in Crawley.


April 2009, new forum opens, this was done to remove the adverts which were part of the old free forum.


March 2009, Guest book cancelled due to spam attacks. Please make any comments you wish on our blog.  


December 2008, £400 Grant received for Bereavement Training with greatest thanks to The Longley Trust.


November 2008, Halloween raffle raised a profit of £53. Thank-you to Sullivan’s TV Shop at Tilgate who acted as a collection point, and to Desmond Anderson school who allowed tickets to be sent to parents and of course to everyone who bought a ticket!
